Submission
Oral presentations and posters:
Please submit an extended abstract prepared for anonymous review. At Protolang 9, we use a slightly modified version of the Evolang template. Extended abstracts have a length of 2 pages, including figures and excluding references and acknowledgements. Add a short summary (max. 80 words) to your submission, both at the beginning of the document and separately in the submission form.
Please, use the following templates:
Submit your abstract as a pdf file through OpenReview (link will be published in January). Deadline of submission is 14 February 2025.
Workshops:
Please submit a proposal by 14 February 2025 including: (a) Title of the workshop, (b) name and affiliation of the organizers, (c) a general description of the workshop (400 words + references), (d) list of tentative contributors. There are no other formatting requirements.
You are free to organise your workshop as you wish. They can focus on certain themes as well as methods. This can also include panel discussions or hands-on workshops, among other things.
Submissions should be suitable for a half-day or full-day workshop. Slots for individual talks (incl. discussion) should be 30 min long.
The organizers are responsible for submitting the full workshop program via e-mail (protolang9@googlegroups.com) by the submission deadline. The organizers will also act as chairs of their workshop sessions. The detailed program will not be shown directly on the conference website but organizers should disseminate the program through their own symposium websites. Organizers are responsible for submitting the list of abstracts by the camera-ready submission deadline.
